COMPANY MILESTONES
1968
Kim Soon Lee established by Mr Lim Chai Kiui with S$2000. The first truck is a 3 ton Chevrolet lorry.
1975
A second hand Leyland Prime Mover and a Freuhauf trailer were purchased. Kim Soon Lee’s foray into heavy transport started.
1978
A second hand 6 ton Bedford truck fitted with a 3 ton Hiab crane on it. This signalled the start of Lorry crane business for Kim Soon Lee.
1980
A second hand Mercedes 10 wheeler Prime Mover was added to the fleet. This enabled the company to haul a single load of 50 tons, massive at that time.
1981
A second hand 8 axle commetto was purchased from Italy, the first multi axle trailer for Kim Soon Lee.
1982
Kim Soon Lee was awarded a very special job of transporting a 80 ton Oven under Robert Kwok’s Kwok Brothers Company from Singapore Port all the way to Mentakab, Pahang. A special permit was made to allow Kim Soon Lee’s prime mover and trailer to enter into Malaysia to effect this move.
1992
Brand new Volvo F12 Lorry was purchased, fitted with a 17 ton PM crane, the biggest in Singapore at that time.
1993
Acquired Hock Teong Huat Company, a container trucking and cargo transport company, taking over 6 prime movers, 2 lorries and about 20 chassis in the process.
1994
5 acre Eunos yard purchased from the HDB under a 15 year lease. Kim Soon Lee’s headquarter was moved here.
2001
Purchased the first Hiab 700 crane fitted into a 12 wheeler truck, the largest in Singapore at that time.
2002
Kim Soon Lee diversified into Machinery moving, packing and crating, warehousing etc. The concept of One Stop Transport and moving was born.
2004
Purchased 2 units of Air suspension Prime Movers and 4 units of Air suspension trailers. Kim Soon Lee started to provide air suspension transport for sensitive cargoes.
2005
Acquired Bedok Yard. The company’s headquarters was shifted to here.
2012
Purchased 4 units of Mobile Cranes from Liebherr, namely 2 x 70 ton, 1 x 100 ton and 1 x 160 ton. Kim Soon Lee started its foray into Mobile Cranes.
2017
Purchased 37 Tuas West Avenue, an 8 acre yard.
2018
Kim Soon Lee celebrated its 50th Anniversary.
2020
Passing away of Mr Lim Chai Kiui, the founder of the company on 24th April.
2021
Purchased 150,000sqft Tampines T Space Heavy Vehicle Park.
